About Us 關於我們
The Taiwanese Association of Canberra, Australia is an incorporated association in the ACT. 坎培拉台灣同鄉會為澳洲首都特區註冊之社團。
Our objects 本會宗旨
• Promote and preserve Taiwanese culture, heritage and identity. 推廣並傳承台灣文化、傳統與認同。
• Support and connect the Taiwanese community in Canberra and the surrounding region. 支持並連結坎培拉及周邊地區的台灣社群。
• Run social, cultural, recreational and educational activities. 舉辦社交、文化、休閒及教育活動。
• Provide Traditional Chinese (Mandarin and Taiwanese) language education through the TACA Mandarin School. 透過 TACA 中文學校提供正體中文（華語及台語）教育。
• Help members, newcomers and students settle in, including by providing information about local services. 協助會員、新移民及留學生適應當地生活，包括提供在地服務資訊。
• Build friendship and understanding between the Taiwanese and wider Australian communities. 促進台灣社群與澳洲社會之間的友誼與了解。
• Cooperate with other Taiwanese and multicultural organisations. 與其他台灣及多元文化組織合作。

TACA Mandarin School 台灣華語學校
The TACA Mandarin School is a registered not-for-profit organisation in Canberra, founded in 2017 by a group of educators. We help students build their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Mandarin, and their understanding of Taiwanese and Chinese cultural traditions. We teach Traditional Chinese characters.
TACA台灣華語學校是坎培拉註冊的非營利機構，2017年由一群教育家組織成立。本校的宗旨是培養學生們聽、說、讀、寫中文的能力，以及對傳統文化的認識。本校教學採教授正體字（繁體字）。
Kids classes 兒童班 (Saturdays) and adult classes 成人班 are grouped by age and level, for students with or without a Mandarin-speaking background. Each year we also hold celebrations for students and families, and parents are welcome to volunteer.

Latest: On 11 October 2026 we celebrated Taiwan's National Day with a Lake Walk and Picnic around Lake Burley Griffin, joined by Representative Liang-yu Wang of TECO and Federal Member David Smith MP. Thank you to TECO, the Overseas Community Affairs Council, China Airlines, our volunteers and everyone who came!
